About This Platform

This website offers dynamic lessons designed to not only teach children statistics but also to fuel their fascination with math by involving it with football. Each of the 8 lessons, which are accessible through the navigation tab at the top of this page, consists of in-depth explanations followed by real-life examples and walkthroughs. It is important to note that although statistics is the basis of this platform, and although many of the concepts here are consistent with Collegeboard's, this website should not be used as a primary resource for high school students studying Collegeboard's AP Statistics. Rather, this platform is perfect for a very comprehensive introduction to Statistics. And since this is tailored for kids, my tone will not be as technical and my vocabulary will not be as precise compared to what a typical math textbook would sound. Additionally, this is not a complete set of everything needed to know in the vast field of statistics, as only the main concepts that I believe are the most relevant to Fantasy Football will be featured.

About Me

Hi, my name is Deric. As of 2024, I am a high school senior with a passion for a large variety of subjects. In terms of my qualifications, I aced the course AP Statistics in my classes and earned a 5 on the AP Exam in my junior year of high school. On the Fantasy Football side, I have been playing Fantasy Football for more than 5 years! With the gruesomeness of football and the nerdiness of math, Fantasy Football enlightened me about the harmony between these two worlds. It displayed this sport to me in a new light and ignited my appreciation for statistics. Expanding on this connection, I wanted others to recognize the significance of statistics for their hobbies. Therefore, I bravely undertook a mission to do the impossible: making math fun for children. Through this website and the many lessons it provides, I hope to reinforce children's numerical literacies and enable their fascination in this field, and hopefully, as a bonus, so that they can win in their Fantasy Football leagues in the process!
For a long time, Fantasy Football was just a platform for proving my sports knowledge superiority to my family. But with this website, it's become an opportunity for me to mentor the next generation!
